About us

Circus Network was founded in 2012 by Ana Muska and André Carvalho, growing out of a fine arts faculty thesis project that ended with an event at Maus Hábitos. A mural painted on the exterior wall of Maus Hábitos opened our eyes to how much untapped street art talent there was in Porto and how undervalued it still was. That discovery shaped everything that followed. In the first years we painted a 40-metre mural in Guimarães in 2013 and organized Push Porto Festival in 2014, the city's first street art and illustration festival.

In 2015, Circus Network evolved from an informal cultural organization into a creative agency, art gallery, store and co-work, all under one roof, dedicated to urban art, illustration, music and design. Located in the heart of Porto, in the so-called "Art District", our main goal is to promote Portuguese talent, strengthening relationships between artists, entities and the surrounding community.

Over the years, that same mission has grown beyond our own walls. Today Circus Network also works as a cultural production agency, partnering with municipalities and public and private clients across Portugal. Here at home, our program continues with exhibitions by national and international artists, collective shows, murals, artistic residencies, workshops, and the ongoing promotion of street art as one of the most important artistic movements of our time.
