André da Loba is a Portuguese artist, illustrator, animator, graphic designer, sculptor and educator whose work moves freely between disciplines and materials. Born in Portugal, he has developed an internationally recognised practice built around curiosity, experimentation and a willingness to combine the expected with the unexpected. His illustrations and visual projects have appeared in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Washington Post and Time, as well as in books, advertising, cultural projects and exhibitions around the world. His work has received recognition from the Society of Illustrators New York, Communication Arts, 3x3 Magazine, Ilustrarte and the Bologna Children's Book Fair.
