Andy Calabozo is a Portuguese multidisciplinary artist and illustrator whose practice moves between illustration, drawing, printmaking and object-based work. His work is characterised by a playful visual language, combining imaginative characters, graphic forms and a strong sense of humour with an interest in everyday objects and popular culture. Based in Portugal, he has participated in exhibitions and urban-art initiatives alongside artists from the country's illustration and street-art scenes, including the Up Street programme in Porto and collaborative projects with other Portuguese artists. His practice moves between paper, wood, printed editions and other physical supports, with drawing remaining at the centre.
