Bigod is the artistic name of João Domingos, a Portuguese urban artist born in 1992 and raised in Cortiçóis, Benfica do Ribatejo. He began painting as a teenager and developed his artistic identity while studying Fine Arts and Multimedia. Working especially with stencil, painting and mixed media, Bigod draws on rural traditions, local people and agricultural imagery. Tractors and their mechanical forms have become recurring subjects in a colourful body of work rooted in his personal experience.
