Binau is a surreal graffiti artist and designer based in Lisbon, Portugal, who builds his own universe through his paintings and channels his emotions into graffiti through his own distinct style and creativity. Unlike others in the scene, he prefers to stay out of the limelight and keep his identity undisclosed. He believes his art should speak louder than who he is. Starting from humble beginnings, he studied fine arts in Porto and traveled extensively, exploring and discovering his style and way of expression along the way. He's spontaneous, drawing inspiration from the daily life around him, and for every character he "summons" his own "monsters" from what he calls his "monster-verse." His work is visually striking, intended to provoke thought and feeling, and reflects his belief in the transformational power of art.
