Chei Krew was a Portuguese duo working across urban art and illustration, with murals, drawings and graphic projects that gave them a particularly strong presence in Porto's street art scene. Formed in September 2012 by Asno and Louro — two young artists both born in Porto in 1996 — the pair set out to merge their distinct styles into a single body of work. They became known above all for their giraffes, painted across walls large and small — impossible to miss for anyone walking the streets of Porto. Beyond murals, their practice spanned illustration, graphic design, silkscreen, photography and sculpture, moving freely between marker drawings, acrylic pieces, risograph prints and photography-based work. The duo no longer exists, but their giraffes remain part of the city's visual landscape.
