DTLS, short for we are details, is a Porto street art collective known for repeating its four-letter tag across tunnels, overpasses, highway guardrails and other roadside structures, again and again. The collective has been active for 15 years, though it went quiet for a stretch before coming back to the streets. Its current members are Fokus, Kayo, Pack and Deepho, though others have passed through the group over the years. They don't see graffiti as vandalism: they paint what they believe in, and they favor highway signage in particular because, in their words, it makes no difference to anyone since its function stays exactly the same. That same conviction carried over the time they moved indoors, exhibiting at Circus Network in Porto, where they brought the street straight into the gallery instead of softening it for the white cube.
