DTLS is a collective of writers who believe that sensationalism, superficiality and entertainment are the major expressions of a passive indifference that accepts everything as culture. They act on the streets of Porto on different surfaces, preferring experimental and spontaneous methods. They believe that the context influences the result, so the form follows the function.
“We do this because we need to... it’s not about adrenaline... we see the city from a different perspective... that’s what graffiti gives us.”
In Playground exhibition, DTLS doesn’t bring graffiti into the gallery — they bring doubt, resilience, and the urge to keep asking. It’s not about the spectacle. It’s about form, context, survival. It’s about sketching in the blackbook when everything outside is burning.
